Roofing Contractor Raleigh, NC
Raleigh Roof Repair is a free homeowner referral service, not a roofing company. Independent providers perform the work.
Finding a contractor is not the same as verifying one. A referral can begin a conversation, but only the business performing the work can explain its proposed roof project. Homeowners should establish who is responsible for the inspection, the work, and any changes that arise after work begins.
Calls are routed to an independent referral partner and may be recorded under the partner's notice. A short automated question, such as your ZIP code, may play first.
Free for homeowners. We may be paid for qualifying referral calls.
What should you ask the roofing contractor first?
State whether you have an isolated symptom or are planning a broader roof project. Ask who would inspect the home, what parts of the roof the assessment covers, and who would explain the findings. An early phone conversation cannot determine the condition beneath the visible surface. If a contractor recommends work, ask why that scope follows from the findings and which conditions could change it.
How can you verify the business?
Get the legal business name and any applicable license number directly from the contractor. The North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors provides a public search by company name and license number. Confirm the record rather than treating a phone number or website name as a credential. Also ask for insurance details and confirm what coverage applies to the project. This site has not checked any particular provider's qualifications.
What should a written work scope explain?
It should name the roof areas involved, what will be removed, what materials will be installed, and who handles material found to be damaged after removal. Ask how proposed changes would be recorded before additional work is done. Ask the contractor whether its proposed scope needs a permit and which authority covers your specific address. For the different question of which company would sign the agreement, see roofing company.
